Safety &
Guest Vetting

We believe the best weekend away starts with genuine trust. Here's exactly how we ensure every Singles Weekend is safe, respectful, and worth showing up for.

Safety is not a feature. It's the foundation.

Singles Weekend is built on a simple belief: that real connection requires real trust. We take our duty of care seriously — not because we have to, but because it's the only way this works.

Every event has a dedicated host who is present throughout the weekend, sober, trained in conflict de-escalation, and authorised to act immediately if anyone's safety or comfort is compromised.

Zero tolerance. Any behaviour that compromises the safety, comfort or dignity of another guest results in immediate removal from the event — without refund — and a permanent ban from all future Singles Weekend events.

Our vetting process

Every guest goes through the same process before their spot is confirmed. There are no exceptions.

Can people with an active AVO or DVO attend?
No. Our Terms and Conditions strictly prohibit anyone currently subject to an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO), Domestic Violence Order (DVO), or any interim protection order from participating in our events. This is non-negotiable.
What is the Guest Agreement?
At the point of booking, every guest must legally declare that they meet our participation requirements. This is not a tick-box formality — it is a binding legal declaration.
Every guest declares that they:
  • 1Are not currently subject to any active protection, restraining or violence order in any jurisdiction
  • 2Have no convictions for violent or sexual offences
  • 3Agree to our Code of Conduct, which mandates respectful interaction with all guests and staff at all times
  • 4Agree to consume alcohol responsibly and understand that disruptive intoxication may result in immediate removal
  • 5Understand that providing false information constitutes a breach of contract and may result in legal action
Do you verify identities?
Yes. A valid government-issued photo ID — Drivers Licence or Passport — is required at check-in and must match the name used at the time of booking. Failure to provide matching ID will result in immediate cancellation of the booking without a refund.

On the ground

Our events are small by design. With only 30 guests, our host knows every person in the room — which makes it far easier to notice and act on anything that doesn't feel right.

What happens if someone breaches the Code of Conduct?
We operate a one-strike policy. Our host has full authority to remove any guest immediately who displays aggressive, harassing, intimidating or threatening behaviour toward any other guest or staff member. Guests removed for safety reasons are permanently banned from all future Singles Weekend events and will not receive a refund.
Who do I speak to if I feel uncomfortable during the weekend?
Your dedicated host is available throughout the entire weekend and can be approached at any time, privately and confidentially. You will be given their direct contact details before the event. You should never feel like you have to manage a situation alone.
What about alcohol?
Our events are BYO. While we respect that enjoying wine and drinks is part of the weekend, our host is trained to monitor the situation and will act if anyone's behaviour is affected in a way that makes others uncomfortable. Responsible consumption is part of our Guest Agreement.
